Departmental Computer Purchases for Faculty and Staff

Most of the standard systems available to Creighton are kept in stock by the Division's Technology Lifecycle Management team.  To review our current standard computer options, please visit our Computer Standards page.  (Requires a NetID to log in.) Non-standard/enhanced hardware systems require additional steps prior to purchasing.  The form for Non-Standard/Enhanced Hardware computer purchases is now built into the new ticketing system when submitting a request for a computer.

New computer purchase and computer refresh requests are reviewed within 1 business day and processed on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with the average turnaround time of 7-21 business days. Timelines can vary based upon current inventory and if the request is for a non-standard/enhanced hardware system.

If you need to request a new computer for a new employee, please visit this link for instructions on the process to start a ticket: New computer request process.pdf

If you need to have a computer picked up because an employee has left the department or university, please visit this link for instructions on the process to start a ticket: Recover computer from employee process.pdf

Other hardware/accessories:

Faculty and staff can purchase a variety of other non-computer items directly through CUBuyplus. These items include chargers for computers and phones, computer and phone cases, USB and external drives.

Creighton departments wanting to purchase new computers or inquire about technology lifecycle computer refresh should email refresh@creighton.edu.

Support Guidelines

Personal Computer Purchases for Students, Faculty and Staff

Personal use computers: Students, along with full-time, permanent faculty, and staff members can purchase a personal use computer at discounted prices.  Our preferred vendor for Windows based computers and tablets is Connection.  You may also visit the iJay store to purchase a personal-use Apple computer or iPad.  While Creighton endorses no particular brand over another when it comes to laptops, Creighton has had excellent success with the both Apple and Lenovo.  You may purchase either via the vendor links below.

iJay Store

The iJay Store is a student-run Apple™ Authorized Campus Store.  It has both a physical location on the second floor of the Harper Center and an online site at www.ijaystore.com.  The iJay is Apple™ Authorized to sell the latest devices and accessories, and is operated as part of a two semester practicum class for juniors and seniors in the Heider College of Business.

Microsoft Software for Personal Use
