To fully maximize University IT resources, an IT Governance process has been formed. Initially, the governance structure will have the following components:
Information Technology Executive Committee (ITEC) - Members from the campus executive team review, consider, prioritize and determine best uses of University IT resources both human and financial. This is the final governing body of the process. All projects must be vetted by this group before allocating IT resources to developing a formal business case or working on project deliverables.
Current ITEC members include:
Dan Burkey, Sr VP Operations
Tim Brooks, VP IT
Catherine Todero, College of Nursing
Anthony Hendrickson, Dean Heider College of Business
Project Management Office (PMO) - Members of this group include the IT PMO Director, project managers and analysts that will assist individuals and departments with navigating the Creighton IT governance process.
If you have questions about this process, or would like to submit a project for review, please visit this website: http://doit.creighton.edu/project-management-office-pmo.
Academic Technology Council (ATC) - Deans and advisors from each of the schools and a library representative who help evaluate needs directly impacting students by prioritizing and sponsoring related projects. More information, including membership, can be found at: http://www.creighton.edu/center-for-academic-innovation.
Data Governance Council - Made up of representatives from across the campus, this council seeks to drive consensus for data integrity and provide standard tools for intelligently utilizing university data.
Additional prioritizing committees may be formed as needed.
