Duo Self-Enrollment

Duo's self-enrollment process makes it easy to register your phone or tablet and activate the Duo Mobile application so you can receive Duo requests via push notification and tap to approve and login. This self-enrollment process can be done prior to the Duo "go live" date. If you do not enroll prior to that date, Duo will prompt you to enroll the first time you log into into a protected VPN or web application.

These seven quick steps are shown in the video below and will only take a few minutes.  If you need additional help, a full step-by-step Enrollment Guide is provided by Duo.

Using Duo with a Hardware Token

Hardware tokens are the most basic way of authenticating.

To authenticate using a hardware token, click the Enter a Passcode button.  Press the button on your hardware token to generate a new passcode, type it into the space provided, and click Log In.  Using the “Device:” drop-down menu to select your token is not necessary before entering the passcode.

Tokens can get "out of sync" if the button is pressed too many times in a row and the generated passcodes aren't used for login. Contact the Service Desk if your token stops working.
